Han Sungpil’s signature ’Facade Series’ records a certain space in specific time. He photographs a scene blended with virtuality and reality. He shades with a huge architecture images as if the building stands in the space for real. After he photograph the scene, the installation is taken down so no one can ever see the actual scene in person. His work only preserves it.

HAN received BFA in Photography from Chung-Ang University, MFA in Curating Contemporary Design from adjunct program of Kingston University and The Design Museum. His works have been featured in many solo and group shows including at Indeco Gallery, Gallery Jandari, Hanmi Photograph Museum, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary in Korea, Shanghai Contemporary Art Museum and many more. Prominent art collections – National Museum of Modern and Contemporary in Korea, Daegu Museum of Art, Hanmi Photograph Museum, Gonggan Saok and more – collected his works.
