PARK JiEun (b. 1980, Korea)
After a tiring day, Park embraces the moments where she can kick off her shoes. When relaxing at home, she is finally free to feel the warmth of her own skin, and the warm air that surrounds her body. Her heart murmurs from underneath a soft blanket. Before she knows it, her eyes close and the people she met during that tiring day simply pass from her mind. In these moments, Park can’t be sure if the pillow is separate or a part of herself as she gradually fills her head with dreams. Her artwork becomes a space full of inner voice – a place where she is accepted in her most peaceful and natural form. This is what ‘home’ means to Park: a place where we can concentrate on ourselves; a place where we can dream.
