Joseph Pang is a multimedia artist who incorporates elements from his personal philosophy and visual intelligence into his artwork. He works with both painting and collage mediums, using a variety of materials that include tyvek, stickers, vintage books, tape and graphite in his finished piece. In his recent work, he deals with the complicated topic of industrial beauty.
Pang attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1987 to obtain his BA. In 1991, he continued his studies at Yale to obtain his MA in Philosophy and Painting. His work has been featured in international exhibitions, predominantly in New York and South Korea, in galleries and museums such as LVS Gallery (Seoul), Gallery Sejul (Seoul), John Molloy Gallery (New York), KCSNY Gallery (New York), and PS122 Gallery (New York), to name a few.
