JEONG Hae Min is drawing with computer mouse in the Photoshop until the virtual canvas gets full of the contents she creates. She starts with photograph images on the background where she overlays colors and crumpled the space as if she brushes or squeezes paint tubes in the real world. The final images are printed on the huge canvas and hung down from the ceiling. It is her representation of action to paint itself in the border of traditional and digital painting methods. Her interest is, however, not about the new tech but about individuals vulnerable to inconsistency and violence in the society. As a creator, her view is from the far but she also wants to whistle-blow on the issue. JEONG received BFA from Hong-ik University and MFA from Korea National University of Arts. Her works were included in many local shows including at Gallery175, at OCI Museum, Bupyeong Art Center and more.
