Wen Ling
(b. 1976, China)
Wen Ling is a painter whose strokes express various emotions and actions that aim to denote our humanity and inner conscious.

During his process, Wen Ling uses a large, coarse brush to paint his figures. The softness and shape of the produced lines are where personal reflection and expression come through. The lines’ boldness can help describe the personality of the human beings and animals in which the artist depicts, similarly to the art of graffiti.

Wen Ling was born in China in 1976. He graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing with a BFA in Printmaking in 2000. He has held solo exhibitions since 2006 around Greater China in the Star Gallery, Art Now Gallery, and Dimensions Art Center in Beijing, and the 3rd Art Basel in Hong Kong. His work has been featured in over 50 group exhibitions since 2001 around Greater China, Italy, France, Korea and Singapore. His work is collected by the Shanghai Art Museum.
